Hi,
I recently purchased rims for my 06 530xi. The tires are 20x9s all the way around (although the back rims seem to be wider as they have a deeper dish than the front) Tire size is 255/30zr20 all the way around.
My question is, how much can I lower it without having any rubbing issues?
I wanted to get H&R springs but if i'll have rubbing issues i'll obviously get coilovers instead. Should I go to a shop and ask them how much I can lower it without having any rubbing issues? How would they measure accurately? Please let me know. PM me or email me if you need any more information on my setup.
Thanks,

I run with 245/35/20 tires, with 20x8.5 rims and H&R springs whit no problem, looking on the side the rims the tires are a little inside the fender, if you look this picture, you will see that there is almost 3/4 inch between the tire and fender, its only this space you need to watch.

BTW - Make sure you get the XI springs, not the standard RWD springs. There is a difference!

Go with coilovers. I have H&R and you can set up the perfect stance. That way if you want to go lower than the springs you can. Or if your worried about rubbing bump it up a couple turns.

Hi, I got the same rear tire size as your's but I'm recently having rubbing issues on the rears with stock shocks and springs. Got any idea what could be the problem?
