Bert, you've got to do a full DIY showing pics of the wiring under the hood. Lets get this together once and for all.

Having done this mod some time ago, I'm so happy to see we've jointly managed to get to a point where everything can be done at home. The major expense I had was on the coding and noquarter cracked that one. Bert managed to get the full details on the wiring as a DIY as wpg550 and I cheated and paid the stealership to do that part (amazing research by wpg550 on what needed to be done). Warm thoughts to rsyed who pioneered the whole thing - without the paddles.
A very worthwhile mod, a powerful e6x lci with a slushbox really should have come with the sat as standard but now everyone can have it with relative ease. If you haven't done it.....do it!

Here the DIY :
(contact me for pw i want to protect for abuse)
Edit: For full funktion (quick gear shifting) you have to change EGS sw in to EGS sw with SAT ! (with Tool32 )

sorry mate, the original non-sport gearstick is built into a complete unit, which has electronics, lever and cover pre-assembled. The sport lever on the other hand, is kitted together where you get the stick and boot, ECU, and cover as seperate items.
If you want the sport lever and ecu, then you WILL get a functional sport button, even if you don't get coding done.
Welcome to the forums by the way; a great place to be and to share your passion.

, so posts like this are a bit early, but for some reason I always plan the mods before I buy the car.
I'm looking though, so I hope I find anything soon.

on the patience to see your project to completion
