FYI, SSTT still gives limps just like any other piggy...

Dinan FTW!!!
But if you have a lease then SSTT will do the job. I don't think SB is needed if you already have a piggyback.
Owwo - keep us posted on your results with both products.

My SB should be coming in tomorrow, I'll keep you guys posted on how it goes.
Have you seen this thread though? Some guys are having engine malfunctions after installing the SB.

I'm interested in improving the performance of my 535i and wanted to get some recommendations of simple, relatively cheap, and safe mods that I could do to my car. Two options I've found are the Split Second Turbo Tuner and the Sprintbooster.
I'm leasing my 535i, so I need to make absolutely sure that none of my mods will invalidate my warranty, and can easily be removed when I turn the car in.
Here are my questions:
- Which of these mods is the best, if I choose only one?
- If I get both, will they work well together, or do they pretty much do the same thing?
- Are there any other performance mods (given my criteria above) that are a better option.
Any advice, feedback, comments would be most welcome.
Thanks!

1. choose the piggy back (turbo tuner or procede)
2. yes it'll work fine togehter.
3. the best option is to go with the piggy back
Let me know if you need the turbo tuner or procede.

I am also a huge fan of the split second turbo tuner. This is a nice solution for the TT engines as it's a direct plug and play replacement that boosts power immediately. It is also quite affordable for the amount of power output you receive and is designed to work within the stock parameters to avoid any engine or software complications.
I would also recommend the Active Autowerke Processor. This is a similar software upgrade that we have been doing for the 335s and is fully compatible with the 535 setup as well.

Thanks for the detailed response, I really appreciate it. How difficult was it to install the SSTT and where is the TMAP sensor located in the 535i? I may end up getting both of these mods, but if you had to pick only one, which would you choose?
Also, what does the charcoal filter do exactly and how easy is it to remove? As you can probably tell, I'm not much of an expert when it comes to cars.
Does the SB make the car really twitchy when you accelerate? I definitely don't want to mash into the cars in front when I come off the light, although having the increased responsiveness when overtaking might be useful.
Any other info you have would really be appreciated.
Thanks

The install of the SSTT on a 335i is child's play compared to the 535i. I could get my arm into the 335i and feel the TMAP sensor easily. On my 535i, there's no chance, as our TMAP sensor is near the bottom of the engine bay. It may be easier to get the car on a lift as suggested earlier...or find someone with long, skinny arms.
From what I've read, the charcoal filter is something that BMW puts into our cars due to EPA guidelines. It doesn't do anything to enhance the car, and most people have been removing the charcoal filter without consequence from the dealer. Once my BMC filter comes in, I'll be doing this removal, which seems fairly simple.

Do you sell them? If so, how much for the SSTT? Also do you have installation instructions for the 535i? If so, please send them to me - I can only find them for the 335i and the TMAP is in a different place.
