ive just recently done my tune up on my 04 545I.... and i put in bosch iridium platinum plugs.... they work terrific... i personally think you should stick with what the manufacturer recommends... they put alot of time and engineering in these bosch plugs... i think those would be the best option...they do cost a pretty penny.. but its definitly worth it...but if you do the plugs yourself...closest plug to the drivers side firewall is very hard to remove the coil. you have to remove the bracket for the power wire for the battery in order to remove the coil. good luck

On my 2004 525i I change my Bosch plugs at every 14000km and cost me $92 each time so for my LCI car I will be getting a set of Pulstar.
for the mile that you get out of them the price is good and get more MPG

Well, i went with Bosch IR Fusion. Had many great reviews and so I decided to get them for my car. I just them today, my car used NGK platinum 4's. Switched and have a misfire along with the error message on my iDrive. Just nervous to take to Partsource who can read the message, I dont want to ruin my catalytic converter. What do you guys suggest? I think the plugs overall are good, just one or two misfiring?!?! I just dont want to take them all out again. Do you guys think its safe to drive it a bit to get it scanned to see which one is misfiring? thanks.

Make sure all is torqued down and the coil packs are fully seated.
I have the BOSCH IR Fusion installed and they are two thumbs up! better than stock ones. IMO

Better use a OBD scanner to determine which cylinder is missfiring so you can spot it easily. Or reinstall all the spark plugs again. Make sure the plug #4 is properly installed (it is the hardest part).
