I am about to purchase Eibach spacers for my winter wheels, which are 17x8 ET20 BBS's all round.
How does it sound if I get 5mm to front and 12mm rear?

The 12mm spacers would be hub-centric so no problem.
But 5mm are without a hub-centric lip because they are so thin. So I measured there would still be 7mm of the "original" lip left after adding a spacer to front axle (The whole lip is 7mm+5mm=12mm). Is this 7mm enough for wheel?

My lug bolts are 25mm now so I should get 30mm to front and 35-40mm to rear, right?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Ok. I have now ordered 2 x 5mm spacers for front and 2 x 12mm spacers for rear and longer bolt lugs.
I hope they're ok.

I will post pictures after install.

I will not, nor even consider getting spacers for the winter,
then you need all the BMW chassis engineering done.

But for the summer I could consider some + 10 mm spacers for the rear.

The spacers change the cars chassis handling, and in the winter time it should be as good as possible.

I would dare to disagree about the handling getting worse .
But we will see and I will report about it. Fortunately they are easy to remove.

Any other members using spacers with their winter setup (In icy and snowy conditions)?
