if it's not the sidewall, just patch it. Dont spend $450 on that! Spend $450 in MODS!!!

Repairability ? SST run-flat repair guidelines are nearly similar to those for standard tires. Michelin's PAX has more stringent repair procedures, including a warning that repairs can only be carried out at a "Michelin PAX System authorized servicing dealer." In either case, if the zero-pressure driving distance or speed is exceeded, the tire might need outright replacement. Furthermore, tire sealant-in-a-can leak repair products shouldn't be used, because they can foul many types of TPMS air-pressure sensors.

Ur tire can be repaired. Just make sure u bring it to a trustworthy place. Or else they can ruin ur tire and damage the sidewall.

Fix it dont replace it

YOU CAN PATCH RFTs - I'VE DONE IT MANY TIMES AND IT WORKS JUST FINE!!!!!

YOU DO NOT NEED NEW TIRES, UNLESS THE HOLE IS IN THE SIDEWALL. AS LONG AS THE SIDEWALLS ARE OK, YOU CAN FIX THIS!

the screw is in the dead-center of the tire. Talked to a guy at one of the chain places here and he told me that they advise against patching and that it reduces the speed rating of the tire.

he said he'd patch it, but they didnt like to.

reduce speed ratings? come on, even on a spare donut you can go 85mph of couse the guy gonna say dont patch... they rather sell 400 tire. dont worry dude, plenty of membrs here have patched with no problems. you're a new member, trust us i havent heard once that someone crashed their car because of a patch. on our last meet our brotha vlad drove with a piece of side wall missing no problems!

sell a pair of those dreadful runflats now or later. replace all four with Michelin s/p s. you will absolutely not regret it. the out of pocket cost, in the end, will be about the same the same, too.

$450 on NOTHING.
Yeah, I know how ya feel. I backed my stepdad's car into my mom's car 2 weeks ago. Talk about throwing money down the shitter.

Sorry to hear about how you got nailed. I just patched my tire last week.
