Hi All
Just thought I would share a few pics with you...
It's the 6th car ever made and the first one in the UK! And does it shift or what ... !!!!
All the Best
Hobi
EDIT:
Sad to say it was only mine for an hour before Ged@Sytner took it away However, I did get to drive it for a while and it IS a totally brilliant car. I came back wondering if I had made the right decision in cancelling my order for one 2 years ago...
Anyhow......

My Ride: 2005 MY 545i Sport Saloon. 2006 MY Alpina B3S Convertible. 2006 MY Brabus Smart 42 Cabrio. 2006 MY AM DB9 Coupe.
Specs:
507 BHP
700 Nm Torque!!!!
4.4 Litre Supercharged engine
Redline at only 6000 rpm (because of huge torque...)
19" Alpina rims with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres - due to the different profile tyres, the overall diameter of each wheel is actually 1cm more than standard and therefore Alpina have recalibrated the car. The reason for the higher profile tyres (40 in front and 35 at rear) is that it helps in creating a slightly smoother ride.
Top speed is over 200 mph (bear in mind tyres only rated to about 202 mph! The car will do more than this.)
Best of all.... if you want it to behave like an ordinary autobox car - it is like every other E60.... but if you want to MOVE, it's there before you even expect it.
All I can say is that having driven one today, the power is TOTALLY INSTANT. You can hear the slight hum of the supercharge at lower revs.
I can't begin to tell you how god damn unique the sound of the engine is when you start it up.... It is glorious!!!
Interesting to note that with the enlarged radiator assembly, Alpina have REMOVED the plastic air vents in the front grill permanently. From the front, you can see a huge silver radiator positively bursting out from behind the twin grill.
in wistful love....

The B5 in the UK is about 65000 pounds and includes HUD and Prof Nav as standard.
Fully speced up car with every option will be about 75k + whatever high grade leather you want. Note, no longer possible to have leather trimmed dashboard top area - EU regulations concerning front airbags etc.. Shame....

Forgot to say that the steering is fantastic. Predictable turn-in and weighting is spot on.
At one point, I was accelerating away in 4th gear from nothing and 50 mph was reached before I realised it, then slightly slammed on the brakes because I was in a 30 zone. The stopping power is going to be HUGE....
The have taken the brakes off a 760 iL (Middle East Market variant) !!! And put on thicker linings... The calipers are stonkingly big. I seriously doubt if anyone would have a need for another type of braking system for this car.

I can probably get one for you from Alpina if you are really serious about it. Let me know.
