Is the new screen hooked up to the I-Drive system?

Wow! Neat mods!. I'm not sure I have the heart to do that kinda surgery to my baby, but it does look great!

It's amazing that you know how to do all of that.

One quick question...When you say iDrive was worthless to you, I'm curious how your goign to access climate, etc. How will you change the car preferences?

Just curious,

James

I agree, every thing looks great but there are to many controls to view thru I-drive and also, will BMW need to see the I-Drive screen to do upgrades?

Herb,

Car looks sick.. One question, how deep are the lips on your wheels front and rear. Also, did you put on any lowering springs, if so, what make.

I like the Brembos but am not so sure that iDrive is "useless".

One of my pet peeves with BMW is that the brake calipers aren't finished in a more "permanent" coating. I don't think they need to stand out (like be painted red) but they need a powder coating or something because they always become old and rusted looking after some time.

The dealer will spray them every once in a while with a high temp silver but I just don't get why BMW isn't making them look a bit nicer from the factory.

jksanford : what i mean is that i never really get to use the i-drive more often other than changing the radio station or chaging track on cd .

teg : im not done modding the car i will still reconnect the i-drive system and relocate it inside the glove box ( i-drive system are all together with the radio )

loudawg : front lips are 2 3/4 and rears are 3 3/4 deep lowered on H&R springs

Rudy : if you know someone who can paint the stock calipers its better to paint it early before the calipers become rusted

more pic soon for relocation of i-drive and some more projects coming up

Your setup is pretty wicked. I am curious how you will setup i-Drive in the Glovebox. Please post pics once completed.

What size wheels and tires you're running on your 20's?
