My Ride: 535d, remap, 341 bhp, 660 nm torque, eisenmann quad exhaust, 20" Breyton Race GTSR-M's, carbon front splitters, carbon rear diffuser, HID lights, LED plate lights, carbon grille, carbon wrap bonnet, carbon wrap roof, custom led side repeaters, led angel eyes, sprint booster v2, de badged, carbon badges, heads up display, black piano trim, step auto, sport package, hi fi sound, heated seats, pro nav, 295/25/20 conti sport contacts, anthracite head lining.
Well. I had my car mapped, well I thought it was mapped, but after a dyne test by someone else, it turns out what I thought I got, was not actually what I had!
So I took the car back to the dealer that did the remap who were adamant that the map had gone on. However......
After they checked it, they told me my 535d has a "software filter" which stopped all the map from working properly! Their software guy had to fiddle about with it and re do the map to bypass the software filter.
After they finished, I drove the car and it is now a lot faster, much more torque and acceleration.
Anyone else heard of a software filter on an ecu? It's a new one on me!

That very interesting.. funny though that the guy just had to "fiddle a bit" with it to circumvent the filter!
Presumably the idea in Munich was to prevent such guys from "fiddling"? lol
Anyone else has more info?

Well I am not sure exactly what "fiddling" was done but it was all done by his programming guy. It took them like an hour to do it, where as a remap upload normally only takes about 15 minutes.
My car is a 2007 535 d sport by the way.
