I changed mine to the 2014 joystick shift knob. From Bimmian.com real nice I have a 07 550i

I changed mine to the SAT shifter from motivemods last year with a custom shift boot. I'll go outside and take better pics if anyone wants some. I've also fixed the leather since the pic was taken.

^^looks very nice. I was on their site last night. Anyone tried putting the BMW Performance automatic knob in a pre-LCI E60?

I'll have to take a better pic if this doesn't help. Essentially it's an Oem style but i had someone put in an iluuminated 6 speed m logo. I wired it into the I drove button and it dims with the rest of the lights in the car. Love it so far.
