I go in for a couple tick tack problems to get fixed under warranty and I describe one of the problems being I hear a little creak coming from the stearing wheel. I was thinking maybe it needed some power steering fluid? They call me and tell me they need to get permission from someone so they can order a new steering rack. Apparently this part costs $2500. I think this is crazy but hey its under warranty let them replace it. I looked online and the part ranges from $300-$500. I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with the steering rack?

I had a slight clicking issue last year, and they immediately replaced the steering rack, my car is an 06 and it had about 17k miles at the time. No issues since then.

When they changed your steering rack did they change any other parts with it and did they do an alignment?

They changed my whole entire steering column because it was making some noise that the past owner complained about. Can't complain about that.
