I thought about snow tires but ended up buying a Jeep for the not so frequent snow days in Northern Virginia!
BTW, very impressed with the site and all its members. It 's a reflection of the car we all love, spirited (occasionally nasty if need be!) yet civilized.

My Ride: Now Driving a Freakin' Prius!
Was...

I considered a winter beater myself but I need reliable transportation. I considered a lease on an X3 but couldn't get the purchase order "approved" by the misses. Oh well. I know it will be no Audi Quattro in thew white stuff, but in my area they plow the roads quite well and rather quickly. I could not have any "fun" in the Audi without going way too fast (leaving no margin for error) so I am looking forward to the BMW again. I never got stuck with any of my M3's and 4 snow tires so I don't expect this to be any different.
I'll post pics once I have them installed.
