Was your car equipped with bluetooth from the factory? If so there should be the phone craddle fitted under your armrest. It has a blanking plate which clips out when you press the release button shown in front of the phone in the photo above. The individual adapter cradle for your mobile then fits into this main craddle and connects you to the car's pnone antenna in the shark fin and gives you in car charging as well.

So I took the phone pro instead of having no phone in there.
I wish I would have BT, since my cellphone has it and it would so much easier...
Actually the phone pro uses BT too, but you can't pair another phone with it.

Hm... BT wasn't available when we bought ours either.. and there was no pre-wiring.. however we have the Siemens S55 installed, and working.. It took the dealer some time though

I received my v600 snap-in adaptor today. I hate to say it, but I think it's a snap-in adaptor for the factory phone eject box. There's no way this thing will snap in to the storage tray. It looks to me like we need to:
1. Install CPT9000 eject box and connect wiring.
2. Install snap-in adaptor for BT phone.
Then, it makes sense, and would look like the picture. The thing with the button and phone/talk pic on it appears to me to be the eject box for the built-in phone.

My Ride: On order: 2007 550i, silver gray, black leather, anth. maple trim, active cruise, heated steering wheel, sport, night vision, vent seats, heat rears, active steering, rear air bags, folding seats, comfort access, navigation , HUD, black head liner, steptronic, premium sound, sirius and HD radio.
It would be great to see how the two parts go together and where the wires are. Pictures would really help.

There aren't wires on teh snap-in, there's a circuit board inside and a "socket" on the bottom. It looks to me like hte CPT9000 holder snaps out and this one snaps in. I'm now going to order the eject box and see if I can get in buisness.
Though, I have to say, $100 for the adaptor for the v600 plus $150 for the eject box, plus the phone, is getting pricey. I'm not sure it's merited for basically a charger port. As it is now, the phone's tucked away charging in the glove box.
