Hey guys,
Has anyone bought the taillight tint off eBay? How does it fit? If not, where did you get your tint from?

I've purchased some tint film off ebay before. Not sure if it's the same seller. I forgot. Figured it's cheap, why not. When I got them, the film was way off. It was short like a inch all around.Went to a shop and got it tinted.

the issue is that the taillight is contoured so it is impossible to have a perfectly-cut tint. you need to heat up the film, stretch it to conform to the shap of the taillight, then cut it. so, it is best to get a larger piece, fit it, then cut it.. or take it to a shop and have it done.
it's actually kinda hard if you are not doing it often. that 'bump' on the taillight is actually tricky (at least for me). i was able to get my to fit well but there are some air bubbles and imperfections that you can see up close... after 2 tries, i just said 'heck, that's good enough'

I have those installed, got it from http://www.rvinyl.com/store/ShopCart.aspx same company. The tail was really hard to do, you should use a hair dryer instead of a heat gun when you do it. The quality of it is pretty good I am planning to attempt to retint the rear darker.
-The tail light tint is 2 piece and headlight is one piece, I would get insurance just in case the tint gets creased.

Has anyone tried the headlight tint from this company or any others that offer "pre-cut" sheets? I may be interested to protect from additional rock chipping.

try www.stickercity.com , ive bought several different vinyl sheets from them. decent price and the quality is good. dont get pre cut sheets. youll end up having to cut the edges anyway. get a larger sheet (sells by the sq. ft.) and cut it once its on the lamp with an exacto knife. be careful not to push too hard though and cut into the lamp.
