I had some free time this afternoon and I did the primer layer on the tailights.
I will paint them with dark clearcoat tomorrow, or the day after.

Here are the smoked stickers I had sticked on them. Very easy peeling off, without remaining glue.

And now the clear primer coating.

Ready now

I applied two layers of primer over the clear parts to achieve a glossy finish, because that parts will be insulated when I will paint the red part of the lights.

Back in place ...enough for today.

The brand of the plastic primer is "Dupli Color" a very qualitative German product. Price 7 Euros/can.

As for the painting and what point ...to be continued

OK, now the lights are ready to be painted anyhow you like, without the fear that it will peel off. It's like a primed part now - i.e. like a bumper.
I will use clear coat for car body painting with a little black color in the mixture. I will make it lighter than the dark point I finally like, because when the result is lighter, you can apply more layers to achieve the desirable point. When it's darker you can do nothing to go back.

I like to make darker the red part only, so I will cover (insulate) the clear parts (turn & reverse)

Misunderstanding, they are only primed (part 1), not finished, I will make them dark (part 2) tomorrow.
