My Ride: 2006 530i - Sport - 6spd - Orient Blue with Auburn/Anthracite

Hi,

I had the stock clutch lock valve (also known to this forum as the CDV or clutch delay valve) replaced yesterday... It didn't make a huge difference, but it is definitely noticable, especially in a quick 1-2 shift - it's easier now to do it smoothly. You can also feel the clutch engage a little more positively at the other shifts. I reccomend it if you are looking for a more senstive, responsive clutch feel. I bought the modifed lock valve from Zeckhausen Racing, by the way.

Regards, Jon.

If you are like me, you will notice the real difference in a few days after you get used to it. It seemed that my body got trained to deal with the delay valve. After driving for a while I notice that my shifts where much more precise without thinking about it.
