Hey all,

My front wheel has been leaking slowly over the past few weeks, first it went down to 28 psi (was at 42psi).

I went to a tire shop to check it out and no leak indicated.

After 3 weeks, the wheel went down to 28 psi.

What do you think the problem is?

i filled it up yesterday at 42psi and is waiting to see what happens.

Could it be the seal and it comes out really slowly?

Should i just have the tire shop re-seal it again? (when i mean seal, i mean the pasty, gooey substance they use to paste around the rim before putting on a tire.)

did they check the valve stem when they checked the tire for leaks?

They submerged the whole wheel in water and we didn't see any leaks.

As Gene mentioned it could be the valve stem/tpm sensor or possible a slight bend from a pothole
Hope you find the solution to the problem...Good luck

It's the wheels. They SUCK!!!

You should sell them to me ASAP!!! Just kidding. Probably the valve stem as mentioned earlier. Good luck!

Mike, don't wanna be negative, but that's exactly what my cracked rim did. And I had to go to three different shops to find it too. The way we finally found it is by submerging the wheel under the water completely one side up, then the other - for about 20 mins per side. It was a pain, but that's the only way we could find it. The other shops just told me "you need a new tire" (douschebags!!!) so I hope you don't have the same problem as I did.

Tip: start by looking for leaks on the inside of the wheels. My wheel had a crack so small, you would never see it, unless you looked at it from 7-8 inches away.

+1 Sounds like what others have found to be a crack. Some are so small, the air almost doesn't escape when the rim has no load on it (i.e., when they take it off and submerge it), so it's really hard to detect. GL.

it could be the wheel itself. The wheel might need to be resealed.
