Obviously we like the look of the 172's but do we like them in chrome? considering them for my alpine white 530...any comments would be help...thanx
im also aware that there is alot of hate for chrome on this board. im with you on the plastic chrome crap and stick on aluminum foil stuff they sell. but chrome wheels are different IMHO...lets see how this goes

I personally don't think they would look horrible. However, that being said I think there are a lot of of better options for wheels. I'm not a huge fan of chrome overall like most on this forum but I wouldn't consider myself a "hater" either. I think a gunmetal or black with polished lips would be a better look but then again that's my preference. I voted no because that's my preference but I say if you like it then go for it.

Chrome is ........... trashy. I'm personally HIGHLY against anything that makes a BMW look like its tied to a specific ethnic background, a ghetto-hooptie, or some tricked out ricer Pontiac look alike with spinners, daytons, or a flag coming out of the back window.
Call me crazy but owning a BMW is a status symbol as well as an excellent automobile. Regardless of what one might think, owning a BMW in many cases means you have achieved something good in your life. Its like a tattoo that says "yeah baby, shag me".
