Is there any issues with the remote trunk release? I believe earlier in the thread it was mentioned that with the trunk being so light, when the trunk was release via remote it opened too fast, and caused strain on the hinges.

There was so much interest in this, I'm surprised no one is sportin' one yet.

yes the trunk is very light. same when Joe had the cf OEM style trunk, and also we put one on white5's e60 as well. the way to open the trunk would be from the trunk release on the actual trunk while having another hand on top to control the trunk coming up, or you can use the key and have another hand on the trunk.

when the trunk was on my car, the black liscence plate holder for just the liscence plate from the stock trunk is screwed in and the liscence plate is fitted regularly. on Joe's, we drilled the trunk to custom fit the plate and so our IFORGED plate holder will fit.
