Does anyone have a picture of the Sat Prep cabling in the trunk or of a installed unit. Trying to see what cables should be back there... Thanks Todd

If you're thinking of getting it installed, it's a great system and integrates well into iDrive.

Don't think that you'll have any luck. There is a great deal of wiring in the harness that would make it almost impossible to add after the fact. It's ironic that the $75 Prep Kit buys you a mass of wiring that can't be added after the fact. I was lucky in that I ordered it when specing my car just in case I wanted to add it later. Good luck.

The prep kit hooks up the antenna to the sharkfin. If you don't have the prep kit, you can still get Sirius, but your antenna has to be mounted in a 'bump' on the trunklid.

Interesting. I was of the impression that without the prep you could not use the bmw sirius module.
Has anybody installed sirius and integrated it with I-drive using a different antenna?

do you know for a fact if this is true and if so who has done it.. From what I saw at RF basically all you need for SAT is Antenna, Power, and a connection in to the MOST Fiber Loop ? and software...
