My Ride: 2010 M5 alpine white, black full leather, etc.
I am soooo happy! Those blasted hard rubber cylinders are gone at last replaced with Michelin Sport Pilot plus A/S. The difference in ride is 1000% better.
All my best advisers insisted I stay with my 124s because of driving in and around NYC. Aesthetically, I wanted to change to M6 wheels, but the potential problems with potholes together with offset issues persuaded me otherwise. The 124s are not bad looking after all. As I have only 11,000+ on the vehicle there are many miles of fun yet to be enjoyed. Especially, this Saturday at Bear Mtn!

If I wasn't in NYC. I'd agree, but city road conditions plus low profile tires plus larger wheel diameter are a recipe for trouble.
See you on the weekend!

My Ride: See my signature
124s are nice, clean-looking wheels. They look great on the E60.
I love my 172s on my 550. But every time I go over a pothole in NYC, I have visions of the wheel getting bent or cracked or the tire being damaged. And the potholes lately have been absolutely vicious this spring in Manhattan.

!8" is plenty big enough. It's not how big around, it's how you use 'em!
