hey guys, I just tried installing my new 20s today with the help of a friend. After changing the wheels and take it for a test run I noticed that the front right wheel was rubbing. The tires was rubbing against the shock disc that's holding the spring together. The weird thing is that the rubbing only happens on one side only and all the other wheels are fine with no rubbing issue. When I checked the clearance between the tires and the struts, there were about 2mm clearance or less. The tire size for the front is 245/35/20 and the rear are 285/30/20. I have the stock sport 550i suspension on the car. Is there anyway to fix this rubbing issue? I was thinking maybe adding a 5mm spacer, would this help?

what kind of tires are you running??? Toyo's seem to be a good choice because they've got rounded edges so they tend to not rub at all. my buddy has the exact same issue and he's running Hankook Ventus tires.

They're Michelin PS2s, their tires are abit squarish on the edge. Not so round... hmm does this mean I need to change to a 245/30/20? How bout changing the spring, I was planning on dropping the car with H&R sport. Would this give me more clearance with the strut?

i have to run with a 3mm spacer on each front wheel because of the same reason. also, the right was rubbing more than the left as well.

After you put on the spacers, does the rubbing still occur at certain times? btw do you use your stock black lug nuts with the 3mm spacer or did you get a new set of lugs?

At minimum you need 6-7 full turns on the lugs.

no rubbing at all on the shocks after adding the 3mm spacers. yes the stock black nuts were used.
