I had issues before I changed my suspension. I've got coilovers Bilstein Pss10's.

I have Falken 452's 20x9 245/35/20 in the front and 20x10 285/30/20 in the rear.

I also rolled my rear fenders.

It sometimes rubs now if I have to heavy passengers and hit a bump. But I haven't had any problems since I adjust the height for the car. =)

As long as the rims have the right ET's?

In Germany T?V (technical control) would only authorize 285/25/20 for the E60's rear. I was told during the check that rear 285/30 won't get the "stamp" because of the possible rub (hence: danger) while seriously loaded.
Although I had no issues with my 245/30/20 in the front.
But, the full set (wheels and tires) came with German T?V, so I had no worries..

best bet would be thinner sidewalls, particularly a 30 in front and 25 in rear

making a decision on rims has got to be the most difficult choice ive had to make in a long time. ive gotten engaged, changed firms and even bought this car within the last year and all of those decisions did not give as much stress as picking a friggin wheel....i have issues

I feel ya bro Yes, as others have said going with profile 25 in the rear and 30 in the front is the way to go. The problem I am having with this set up is that there seems to be few tire choices that have both the front AND rear sizes. So far I have only found pilot sport, pzero, and a couple of other premium tires with the staggered sizes. Can't really afford those right now. Wanted General Exclaim UHP but... they have rear size but not the front. The widest 20" I could find with 30 profile was 225!
