Hey all,
Just got back from Dranged house where we got done installing (ok, where HE got done installing) the scoops and the grill.
Here are some pics to show that it happened.
Tough crowd in here.
No pics, it didn't happen lol![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
Removing the rubber skirt
![RPI Scoops and Black Grills installed-rubber_off_paintshop.jpg](https://5series.net/forums/attachments/e60-e61-parts-accessories-mods-22/83080d1482364773t-rpi-scoops-black-grills-installed-rubber_off_paintshop.jpg)
Removing the screws to pull back front to get at the TABS on the old grates
![RPI Scoops and Black Grills installed-dirty_screws_paintshop.jpg](https://5series.net/forums/attachments/e60-e61-parts-accessories-mods-22/83081d1482364773t-rpi-scoops-black-grills-installed-dirty_screws_paintshop.jpg)
Removing the first grill helps get at the second one for sure![Tongue](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/tongue.gif)
![RPI Scoops and Black Grills installed-removed_grill.jpg](https://5series.net/forums/attachments/e60-e61-parts-accessories-mods-22/83082d1482364773t-rpi-scoops-black-grills-installed-removed_grill.jpg)

We found a plastic grate on the inside Right side where the scoop goes.
It was our thought that it must go, don't need any turbulance going in![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
![RPI Scoops and Black Grills installed-intake_grate.jpg](https://5series.net/forums/attachments/e60-e61-parts-accessories-mods-22/83086d1482364773t-rpi-scoops-black-grills-installed-intake_grate.jpg)

We thought the scoops needed one more screw to shore them up from the 70+ MPH wind.
So we put in one more screw on each scoop.
This did stiffen them up.
![RPI Scoops and Black Grills installed-modding_the_mod_screws.jpg](https://5series.net/forums/attachments/e60-e61-parts-accessories-mods-22/83088d1482364773t-rpi-scoops-black-grills-installed-modding_the_mod_screws.jpg)

Put it all back together, and enjoy.

I like'm alot

And last but not least.
We modded Joe's Trinity decal![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)

All said and done, I noticed a bit of a difference when I put the hammer down.
It's probably me just being stoked that the Scoops are in. hehehe
Can't wait for you guys to post your scoops as well.
Enjoy!!

Looks nice Jon. I put my scoop in today as well. I left that little grate thing in there in case I hit a deer--wasn't sure.
Now I've probably created a vortex that will suck unsuspecting pedestrians into my matte black grilles! Egad!
Nice DIY!
