RPI scoop, buy the package or single

The scoop comes to ways package deal with the scoop assembly with the BMC filter for around $184, my question is should i ditch the bmc filter and just by the scoop assembly for $100 and buy a K&N filter($54.00) to work with it. I dont know much about BMC are they a quality product? I had K&N before and was very satisfied. Curious to hear what you guys think.

BMC actually works better with our cars. K&N has a better brand name is all. I have BMC with my RPI scoop i love it. However i dont think you can go wrong with either brand.

Get the K&N, your just throwing money away otherwise for a comparable product. I'm still not sold on the scoops.
I would do K&N, remove charcole filter and buy beer instead of the scoop.
