if i remember correctly, don't they give you a self tapping screw so you can screw it into the plastic?

When I installed mine I thought the fitment wasnt that great and I'm an experienced DIYer. For the $99 I spent on an aluminum box, I think I could have made one much better.

Check out their website forum for instructions for mounting:

The bottom leg is supposed to act like a spring. It will bolt on the the outside wall of the shroud. You cant puncture the radiator because it simply isnt long enough. If you have questions, we can always do the install for you. Since you are not too far away, you can always come by and watch one of our test sessions. You'll see why its designed the way it is.

takes a little force but you can get the bottom arm over to the right and anchor it down with one of the tapping screws. You won't puncture anything, I installed mine myself about 6 months ago. Glad you didn't listen to the suggestion over on n54tech and just go with the jb3 and no scoop, the scoop will go well with your jb3

nice, I've got a similar set-up with the jb+, do you have the SSTT II, or first gen?

That's why you were asking about the SSTT on my airbox removal thread

Yes the same scoop works on the 520 but the gains arent the same as that motor doesnt suck in nearly the same amount of air. I think the test on a 528 was around 5-8whp @ 70mph. Im sure the 520 will be a little less.

if you think about it the air scoops are very simple system. It SCOOPS the AIR to your engine. LOL
