Can I put these two in the same class to compare?
Looking for more HP.
What is your take?
Though sound does not really interest me, I'll let the exhaust do that.
Thanks

Okay, this one's easy. RPI gains HP, AFE loses HP. AFE is subject to radiant hot air from the engine compartment so it is actually a HOT air intake and will cost you HP. The RPI (as almost all members here have) gains HP by using the ram air effect to force air into the well designed stock intake tubing.
So if you're looking to gain HP, get RPI. If you're looking for sound and don't mind losing HP the get AFE.
Good luck

Contact Trinity or Acute Performance and they can hook you up. Good luck. BTW, AFE lies about their gains. I think a few members here still have their old AFE Hot Air Intakes laying around if you really want one, but they have all switched to RPI - actual dyno proven gains that AFE has refused to challenge. Also, when you open the airbox in the top part you will see the charcoal filter - it's pretty much useless, get rid of it.
