I've been contemplating these 2 things now for a while and I can't decide...

I know there is a big price difference, but 400 for new rotors and pads seems like a great deal on something that will be a necessity in the future

On the other hand...even though xenon fogs are cosmetic only...I think they're really sweet...haha

I guess my question is what do you guys think?

When I eventually need to replace my brake pads, will I have to replace my rotors as well?...Do deals like what F1 is offering come around often enough I can continue to put it off? or should I jump on this one?

If you like performance (and my brakes are one of my biggest complaints - too damn squeaky) then get the brakes, if you just want to change the look a little then get the lights. Good luck - and pics are welcome whichever you choose

Do the fogs and brake pads, and wait on the rotors. I love my HID fogs and I couldn't stand the brake dust any longer so I did the pads, the rotors will be good till these pads wear out so I would change the rotors when they need changing why waste perfectly good rotors.

Do you need brake pads yet? If you do, get the brakes and rotors. You dont need to replace the rotors when replacing brakes. You only need to replace them if they are thin.

Basically, get brakes pads and rotors if you need it now. If not, get the HID fogs Better yet, get ALL of it!

I don't think these two things should be coming out of the same budget. Your brakes are your normal wear and tear on the car and you should change them (preferably to an upgraded set) when the time comes - unless you drive your car really hard and need better brakes. BTW when changing the brakes, don't forget that the stainless steel brake lines are probably the best brake upgrade you can do for the money, so I advise you to include those in your list for the future (if you have not yet).

As for the HID fogs - like I said, this should be coming out of a different budget than the brakes, so these cannot prevent you from getting brakes. If they are preventing you from getting brakes, forget about the HID fogs for now!
