Hello there,

New to the site guys and looking for some help. What is the biggest tire size that i can put on my 05 E60? I want to put 295/35/19 on the back, is this possible? Also what is the best offset to go with, and can someone explain to me what "offset" is.

Also are any of you in Ontario, Canada?

Thanks

I think the 295 would definitely rub. Stick with the 285..

Type in the word "offset" in the search function on this forum to get all the information you could have ever wanted on wheel offsets. Also, Tirerack has a good tutorial as well. For the specific recommended offsets, review realoem.com/bmw for your specific application. Educating yourself on the wheel offset will help you understand the data realoem.com presents you.

you should be able to go 295 rears with no issues, however you probably have to go 30 series on the back, not 35's.

try 1010tires.com

they have an offset calculator as well as explaining what offset means.....good luck!!

I would also stick to 285/30's rear. The 295's should be 25's,
that is 295/25 19", otherwise to tire is too high and has an too
big ratios.

Also note that the ET's has a lot to do with the rubbing factor.

I would say the rear ET should be 28 or higher (like in the 166 M's)
on a 9.5" x 19" wheel..
