I guess it was a different brand but I saw a Mercedes two days ago that had something like this around its wheels. It was like multi-color though.. greenish/yellowish/reddish.. like a neon multi-toned rainbow type deal. At first I thought it was electric powered but I think it just reflected the lights. It was neat because I hadn't seen it before but I think the novelty wears off and turns to tackiness pretty quick. That's just my 2c though.

Might be an inexpensive ($59) way to cover/disguise wheels damaged by curb rash ... though I'd be about using a gaudy color .
I also think installation might be a little tricky with RFT's or even conventional low-profile tires. And those retaining clips seem to extend into the tire bead seating area.
That might lead to problems with leaking rims ??

Yeah, I think I neon rainbow color one would be tacky. I don't think it won't look so bad if it's an exact color of the rim or black. However, I totally agree with the leaking issue.
