I think it's better with 19's and nons. That just my opinion though. I hated the 18" runflats.
Thanks.

P.S. Your rims look awesome!

I'd like to thank everyone for their input.

It seems that 19 non runflats are the favorite for most. Personally (knocking on wood) during 28 years of driving I've picked up a few screws & nails, but I have never had a blowout or lost air pressure due to a puncture. Considering this car has a spare tire, I have no qualms about going to non-runflats.

My 2004 545i has been mine now for just two weeks. Along with the purchase of the car, I've just laid money down for Weathertech floor mats & cargo liner, iPod adapter, CPT9000 eject box w/ BTUM for bluetooth, Axxis Brake pads and bags full of detailing supplies. Im' looking to do the cabon filter delete mod, and maybe get an aftermarket air filter. My wife's about to kill me and I blame all of you!

Now that I've got the thought of 19's in my head, how the hell am I going to keep wife.com from retaining a lawyer when I tell her that I need new wheels?

Great forum!

19's/non-RFT's definitely have a better ride and feel more planted.

Oh Bl00dy hell I HATE you lot and this forum. Have just spoken to dealer and changed my order to 19" non RFs @ ?780. GRRRRR. Thank god it goes in to production soon so the spec gets locked and I can't order anything else. Infact I might stop logging on to this forum for the next couple of weeks.

How's the ride quiality with the 19 inch wheels w/ non-runflats Vs. the 18's with the stock runflats?
Having driven both over a reasonable distance, and then opting for the 19" non RFT option on my new LCI, I would say the 19" option provides much improved ride quality with reduced 'road noise', better grip & handling with increased 'road feel'. Obviously the RFT safety margin is removed but the 19" tyres (I'm obviously talking OEM tyres here as they are all I've tried) are a much better everyday experience IMHO.

I Hate run flats, the most annoying ride quality, i now have 20 in Wheels with 285 on the rear and it is better then the Run flats i had on my 19s that came with the car standard.

Ditch the run flats...!!

You prefer 19s or maybe 20s.

Take a look at my run flats i had before i changed to the M5 reps.
