is RHD and LHD m5 mirrors same?

seen few post people mentioning RHD mirror and LHD mirror.. whats the diff? and what are the options available in the M5 mirror?

The mirror on the passenger side is convex -- you know -- "objects in mirror are closer than they appear"...

Bro,

U can ask me!!

I accidentally bought the LHD M5 side mirrors & I can tell you the difference!!

U can hardly see anything even thou u adjust max for RHD cars to look at the left side of your LHD mirror!!

if you bought RHD mirors i think you can change just the glass to LHD, if you find any difficuilty seeing,,, but if you have the dimming mirror (ELECTROCHROME) then they will be expensive, also if you have the dipping function i think that too will be effected...

RHD is totally different to LHD.
LHD right mirror's body angle is a little convex than the left side, whereas on RHD is opposite to that.
You can see the difference in these pictures below.

In the third picture you can see how much smaller the right mirror appears (left on pic) because of the convex angle.

I went thru this the hard way.....got the LHD by accident & now finally got the RHD & the difference is OMG.....

thanks everyone for the help... hmmmm my car is black..still thinking what colour should the bottom part of my mirror be... or should i paint my whole car alpine white?

wilson's fender is original M5 man... his car is simply awesome... haha

i never noticed that on BMWs i always thought they had equal side mirrors.. ..i usually see this on audis and VWs...is the situation the same on our OEM mirrors.. one smaller than the other..
i dont really like that i hope the difference is small...
