Rewiring Angel eyes to be the DRL's?

im a little confused here, maybe im dumb or its diff in uk, but if you just want angel eyes on why cant you just put your side lights on first click to the right? the second one here then turns drl on as well as angel eyes,
also i hate my orange marker lights so i just unplugged them, didnt have any fault either
