Are you talking about retrofitting the gear selector from the LCI to a pre-LCI car? If so, I'm pretty sure we've established that it'll never happen since the LCI shifter is 100% electronic and the pre-LCI uses a mechanical cable attached to the transmission to shift from park to neutral, drive, or reverse...

Hi Guys,
This topic probably has been discussed couple months ago.
I was looking at realoem.com. Too bad they don't have the LCI parts yet.

The old steptronic model was one whole set of electronic device which probably can be replaced wtih the new LCI model.
Any idea or comment on this thought?

Yes, That is what I was thinking about.
I thought it is still electronic for the pre-LCI.
Sorry, not an expert on this.
