Default Retrofitting electric folding mirrors on the E60 - coding advice?

Hello,

Could you please help me with coding for automatic electric mirrors?

I have a PRE LCI (2005) e60 530d M Sport - this car has the diamond key. It does not have push button start. I am currently in the process of upgrading the mirrors to electric folding. The car had electric glass and heated mirrors. The mirrors were connected with multiple wires and one plug to a module in the door card.

I have purchased new electric folding mirrors, they have multiples wires and two plugs. I took apart the door card and retrofitted the new mirrors. The two plugs were connected to the module in the door card.

Coding - I have verified that the coding has taken place by reading the module files again. Please see attached the trace files.

I added $430 to the VO in both CAS and LMA.

I checked the CAS module has the comfort options active:
  • KOMFORTOEFFNUNG >> aktiv
  • KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG >> aktiv

I updated the two door modules: TMBT and TMFT. I made the following changes:
  • KERBING - changed from nicht_aktiv to aktiv
  • FOLDING - changed from nicht_aktiv to aktiv
  • BEIKLAPPEN_B_KOMFORTSCHL - changed from nicht_aktiv to aktiv

The mirrors still do not fold using by holding the lock button. (The windows go down when I hold the unlock button. The windows also go up when I hold the up button).

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Could you please let me know if I need to make any further changes?

Hi mate.. I have an e60 530d LCI 08 so mine it's a bit newer but with standard electric auto dimming mirrors and I want to upgrade them to auto folding mirrors, anyway.. I found the mirrors + loom + door control panel for them.. But I don't know to fit them.

I see you done similar work on yours some time ago and u was very happy with the upgrade..

By any chance do u still have the email or phone number from the guy who has done yours or do u know anyone ?

Appreciate your help mate and thank you for your time..

Has anyone figured out how to code this correctly for a pre 9/2005 with door modules?

Auto folding must have the option installed else will not work. Check the little button next to side view mirror select slider. If you can fold the mirror by pushing on the little push button, then you have that option installed. You can code it else no Joy.

I believe with his car already being equipped with Auto dimming mirrors, the wiring was all there, only had to plug new mirrors and do a bit of coding.

Default Completed auto dimming and folding pre LCI mirrors

Just finished installing folding and dimming. Any pre LCI mirror with a yellow wire has folding function. Sellers on ebay seem not to realise and this enabled me to get mirrors for less than £40 each. The folding mirror switch is not needed but mine cost a tenner so worth having when squeezing through gaps.To get the dimming mirrors working you need an auto dimming rear view mirror. This is an easy retro fit. You take pins 4+5 to drivers mirror wires and pins 6+7 to the passengers. On LCI cars only pins 4+5 are used to feed a central module. There is plenty written on the internet on how to code these features already. To get the passenger mirror to dip you need a memory seat module. Im going with full comfort seat retrofit which Im in process of sourcing now.
