Anyone had this fitted as a retrofit..? The subtle lip spoiler looks quite good and finishes the lines. Any info would be appreciated..

I added the M5 lip spoiler and trunklid finisher a long time ago. Install was simple, I did both myself. They just use tape.

Does the M5 lip spoiler come pre-painted ? Or do you have to get it painted by a bodyshop/dealer?

Also, can you use the BMWCCA discount on the spoiler?

BetterMakeWay 02-10-2006 11:52 AM

It can come prepainted on demand or you can paint it at your local dealership. Mine just arrived and it's not painted. And yes it comes with 2 sets of tape. That's all. IMO it's one of the best looking spoilers put there for the e60. Subtle yet enough to change and complete the overall look. Superb.

That's the one! SubterFUSE...So that;s the M5 design..Perfect!
So what is the one that snawaz posted the images of..? That one looks real "after-market" to me!

mr_grinche 02-11-2006 03:03 AM

I think both look out of place and just stuck on thats why I have yet to see an M5 with one of these spoilers most demand it to come without it.

Pictures don't do the spoiler justice.

I looks great in-person.

I had mine painted by a friend of my BMW sales advisor.... he runs a painting business.

For anybody who may be interested in the M Spoiler. It's ?192 fiited at local dealer. This is a pre-painted option. To have a blank painted in the local shop is considerably more expensive. Hope the colours match..I'm sure they will..

Is it easy to transplant it from one car to another?

And how much does the dealer usually charge for that?
