Can someone tell me if this is possible? Is comfort glass all the way round the car or just the windscreen? Would it be possible to just replace the glass in the windscreen with comfort glass? Is there anything else that I need to be aware of?

There are two versions; one is the sunreflecting windscreen, and then you have the option with thicker glass. If it's the latter, you'll in for a real treat - all windows must be changed...

The comfort screen has a top graduated tint (it does work well and worth having), as standard you should have tinted glass in your car but it will be a small / low percentage tint. I think you might be asking about tinting your other glass, I do not recommend a BMW retro fit this will be very expensive. There are plenty of after market window tinting companies about , suggest do some homework about their quality, possibly your local BM dealer will suggest one. Also you need to be careful of how far you go with tinting in the UK as there is legislation covering it and insurance companies and the police will act on over tinted cars.

I was referring to the sun-reflecting 'comfort glass'; I'm having trouble seeing where I'm going from the glare that is being reflected by the glory of Liverpool!

Seriously though, what's the deal with the thicker glass? Is it bullet proof?

I have it, and it has mainly 2 big advantages :

1. When the sun is shining very hard, it makes a very big difference in temperature. In this way you won't burn behind the glass. The airco doesn't have to blow at max speed.
2. Noise (road) is a lot less. For example if open my Logic7 at max, and I close the doors and windows, you can't even notice the radio is switched on.
