Hey Man,

Ok, let me give you the low down of the mirrors. I have the same exact pair, haven't gotten around to install because I have to modify it to fit puddle lights.

So Essentially you are buying just the housing and base of the mirrors and glass. You will have to transfer the motor and the harness from your original mirrors onto the new M5 rep mirrors. You will not have puddle lights because this housing does not have the hole for it. I'm in the process of making a whole for my own to fit the OEM mirror internals and puddle light. Luckily I had extra so I don't have to strip my original mirrors.

So there you have it. Also, you can get it for cheaper from NVD (prapan) in the vendor section. That is where I got my mirrors. I actually got it for cheaper because I didn't have to pay for shipping. (My mother was in Thailand at the time and picked up the pair for me.)

I believe NVD's price is $400 shipped. Also member Akalius bought the same mirrors from him too.

Good luck with your decision. I still wish I had my OEM with folding but, oh well, what can you do.

Yep, I was one of the first to have the left hand drive replica mirrors when they first released it. I paid much less as they had an introductory price. Now, I think it even comes with the heated glass option. This was by far one of my best mods, as It only cost a fraction of what OEM M5 mirrors cost. It gave me the M5 mirror looks and it was about 95% exact to the OEM look. You could not tell the difference unless you know what to look for such as the puddle lights, the lower section was not modular, and the glass was not electrochromatic.

In the above lower picture, it looks off because the motor is not installed yet. Once you transplant the motor it wil look on point. IMO, it's a Good Buy!

Damn, $105 for shipping! By the time you are done with the mirrors, paint, and shipping, these aren't that much of a bargain!

Mirrors w/ carbon - $448
Painting Service - $80
Shipping - $105

Total - $633

I believe that was the listing / original price. You definitely need to talk to him.

Also, don't paint through them. Paint it over here in case anything.
