Hi, as you can see in the picture, the inner projector lens is burned (I think). I wonder now if there is a way to replace it and if so, where to buy parts.
I saw a few items being listed for sale, but those are the outer lenses.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
That inner "projector" lens is not a projector lens. Your signature says you have a pre-facelift E61 but that is a facelift headlight and the inner bulb is a cornering light that turns on when you're moving with the turn signal on, when you turn the steering wheel in the direction of that headlight (right-side in this case) or when you're in reverse. The lens is designed to cast light to the side, not ahead. The main outer bulb is a bi-xenon light that does high/low beam. Of course I am speaking from a north american context so I apologize if this is incorrect for your particular lights, but is how it is here.
youre going to either source another headlight and take parts from it, or just go custom (think quad projector setup) but as the post above states, that is only for your cornering light, if you use that. Mine popped out and i just glued it back in and its been fine. I have mine disabled when I upgraded my halo rings to LED, and plan on doing quad projectors some time this year.
