Replacing kidney grills
I want to change my existing kidney grills with a gloss black grill. It would be going on a titanium metallic silver 550 msport. I found these on Shop BMWUSA but $150 seems steep: ShopBMWUSA.com: BMW Performance Black Kidney Grille
If I were to buy these from an aftermarket supplier, am I risking anything in terms for fittment and or overall quality?

most aftermarket kidney grilles seem to fit just fine, browse our vendor classified section and contact the vendors we have here regarding the grills they sell, from what i've read, not seen any reported fittement issues with grills sold by our vendors...

I got mine from Trinity, I got the matte black, but I think they have gloss black as well. Contact members: Trinityautosport or Nerweezy for them, they will take care of you.

It's hit or miss man with aftermarket, and you only learn that when you have bought multiple parts from multiple vendors. I went with Bimmian kidney grills on my 330 and they fit great, very high quality parts. Then I ordered matte grills for my 535 from Modbargains and they did not have an OEM fit, and I ended up braking a few tabs despite my best efforts.
If you can afford it, you simply won't be disappointed with OEM parts.
