I agree with most of the people. If you are going to invest in brakes then why not in brembo or smth similar. Yeah it's way more expensive but the stopping power is better, it looks better and it's way more exclusive.

Come on!

Someone will...soon..Alex

I heard from good sources that the M5 carriers must be fit/used at the time of installation
for them to hold the M5 calipers and brake lines etc.

All we need is someone in the forums that will go with this option!

best regards,
Tony.

you should drive one M5 and see how it really stops as same as brembo`s( I did )
it has a large 14.7" (374mm) almost 15" rotors and very large cross drilled ventilated Twin piston calipers and 14.6" (370mm) at rear! also remember if you think about it E60 M5 is a much heavier car around 400 lbs more! (3869 lbs) than the other models closest one is 550i 545i (3428 lbs) but again it the heaviest in its class. You have much more relaxed stopping power compare to M5 does

Sorry i don't quite fallow you. You said you drove both models (e60 M5 and some brembo aftermarket E60). Who has the specs? and what's with the weight? and the final remark is to me. Who has more relaxed power and in what car/compared to m5?!

Anyway, my response to something in your comment. I drove the m5 and yes it stops better than my car, and it should. No news here. I didn't drive an E60 with a powerfull brembo kit but as far as i can tell i bet it can stop better than the oem M5 brakes.

seriously... if money is not an issue... someone just go be the 1st one man... its just plug and play... no modifications needed.. just change the OEM E60 to OEM M5.... no modifications nor risk involved.. not like what you guys think

come on Tony... do it!!! paint the caliper red and put the ///M logo..
