Why get M5 1s?
1. They will not fit
2. It will cost a bome to get them fit in.
3. You don`t know if there will be any thing wrong after you installed them.
4. why not just get the Brembo 1s much better than M5 1s

This project is going to be insane. Probably he gots his M5 brake kit for cheap. Brembo is out of budget.
I remember quad_m sponsored M5 brake kit for someone who'd like to try it on his/her car. "Sponsored" means, according to quad_m, is his price at cost
I don't know where that project went.

yes there was an idea about it but not anymore and its quite right that I should not have said sponsor word
it got misunderstood somehow. I should have mentioned, at-cost for a interested person.
its my bad. period.

but anyways there are other brands such as stoptech or other brands might be a choice for you.

best regards,
Tony

I must say OEM E60 M5 brakes can be converted to E60 non-M5s!!

Here in Singapore, there are 6 non-M5 E60 & 3 non-M6 E63 running with full front & rear OEM M5/M6 brakes.

Nothing is impossible!!

Cheers

For some odd reason lots of people use Porsche on VWs, BMWs, and Audis in Taiwan.

his name is Mike btw...

then again..price wise..its close to brembo.. and brembo looks way cooler <_<

agreed, Brembo looks better but the price is not the same or close:
  • 15" 8 pot front only $4300 retail in US
  • 14" 4 pot front only $3600 retail in US
here is the price list from Brembo US Master Distributor all BMW applications w/part numbers:
http://www.racetechnologies.com/appl...ns/app_bmw.htm

also www.tirerack.com offers brembo kits as well for a lower price than retail list.

BMW made M5 E60 14.8" diameter rotors info:

whole front kit: 2x rotors,2x calipers, 4x pads, all the sensors, calipers set, hardware, w/carriers
set is $2100 w/shipping for US, $2200 w/Air shipping for international ones..
