My Ride: 07 BMW 525i Premium Package, Xenon Lighting Package, manual Transmission. Titanium Grey, 20% Tint around the back, 70% V-Kool on front. Planned mods: Style 71 wheels with Toyo Proxy 4 tires, Sachs suspension upgrade, upgraded stereo, and many more to come.

I brought my car in for service and asked them to check on the clutch (since it has some weird noise)
I removed the sprintbooster before bringing the car in, worrying they may notice this thing being they will be inspecting around the clutch area
Removed it in less than 5 mins and I thought I've knocked out couple cylinders and lost 40HP
Feel just so sluggish even when I press my gas pedal halfway.

And of course, the dealer couldn't find any noise on my clutch and not willing to change my oil even when the drive says I am 2500 miles left (car is almost 29k), so hopefully in a month or so when I bring the car back they can detect my clutch noise. Good thing is that they give me a pretty good car wash so it's all nice and sparkle =)

I also removed my SB when I brought my car in a week or so ago. Car felt very sluggish. Put it back on last week and wow! Got my groove back!!

Is there any chance the SB also does something to your car to make it feel less responsive when it's removed? Hmm....

I don't think so. Its that your just used to it. I take mine out a lot. When my lady drives it I always take it out. I can't get used to driving in D because the rev goes up really high so I have to use it in Manual mode.

Still a nice product.

Keep it!!!

I had a thread on the M5Board trying to convince those guys. I even sent one to a guy in Dallas. He paid me for it but his friend's trying it. Initial feedback from that guy is the same. He liked it so far and was going to try going without it to see the difference. Hasn't seen him post up a follow up though.

Keep it man! It's a must have item in every steptronic/SMG BMW out there!

I agree with kchan, my car felt so sluggish that I didn't even enjoy driving it when I took my SB out. I also had the chance to try out the SB out on a 335i sedan the other day, I'd say the difference is much more noticable in my 550i than the 335i.
