I looked through and read about removing of the resonators. The 545i has 3, two front cylindrical resonators and a center rectangular. Based on one response is it true that removal of the rectangular resonator might cause some droning?
Anybody remove just the cylindrical resonators and how does it sound on an aftermarket exhaust. I removed my aFe today and i feel the sound change ...I do not want to remove 3 as I do not want it to be too loud....I just want a subtle growl of the V8....any comments or suggestions ? Hoping to do it tomorrow????
I think the two front cylindrical resonators you're talking about are Cats. I think the only resonator is the center rectangular one. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

I had removed all my resonators, i love the sound. prior to that i had put in 2 magna flow resonator installed. But i still love how it performs and the sound with with magna flow exhaust.
