Hi All

There have been written about the possibility of having the side view mirrows with Auto-fold function to be activated over the cars key's remote ( lock / un-lock ) , all the threads I've been reading claims that it is not possible to get this function to worke on E60/61 etc. due to the fact that BMW should have altered the software of the car , but thats not true.

so YES it is possible to code the BMW E60/61 to this funtion

After coding the car's car-key memory , it works like this : pres the lockbotton on the key one time and the car locks , press the lockbotton again and hold for 2-3 sec. , the mirrows fold in ( windows and sun-roof close ) , pres one time on the un-lockbotton at the key , the car un-locks and the mirrows folde out.

This coding is possible to do ,I just did it with the BMW INPA program.

I can confirm it is possible on the 2005 E60. I managed to get the dealer to do this option for me.

But can anyone confirm the dipping mirror is also an option that can be enabled especially on a 2005 or older E60 without memory seats?

Hi

I'm sure it can also be done on the US-models , if the function is in the software , it can also be enabled , just a matter to find af "guy" that will/can do it , the function is located under the Car-Key memory options.

hello BenAnd, are you saying that an Idrive update is not required? just update the memory on the remote key?
If thats the case, i can send my spare key to someone in Europe to do this for me!

Hi darkboyz68

No , it's not so simple as that , the car needs to be "hooked" up to a lap-top in order to change the settings of the Car-key memory functions.

benand the only issue is that here in the good US of A we cant close our windows via remote we could only open them. BUT you are saying that it could be reprogrammed via car-key memory options and all that is needed obviously is the mirrors with the feature and need the high door module ?? BTW wtf is a high door module ?? thanks in advanced benand you are the man
