Hey folks,

I'm looking forward on remapping my ecu @ dms. I already contacted them and they offered to do it if i deliver the ecu by mail, which i'm a bit scared. I mean what happens if stuff doesn't work that well or if it gets damaged in the process?!

Usually i go ballistic and do it but since we talk about the ECU here and not about some mirrors or stuff like that it's a bit dangerous. What do you think? Has anyone done it and removed the ecu for a week or so and have it sent for remapping?

Thanks.

I shipped my ECU to RDSport twice; once for the initial remap and a second time after I got my headers/cats. It's definitely unnerving to send your ECU away but I know lots of people who have done it.

Yikes, and I panic to send documents in the post and people trust the postal system with the heart of their heart.

I mailed off my ECU to get remapped.

I wasn't that worried. I just didn't drive my car

for 5 days, which was horrible , but just

make sure when you mail it off wrap it with newspaper

so no static electricity would possibly short the ECU (not sure if it does or not just didn't want to take the risk)

from the styrofoam or you can use the bubble bags to protect it .

I went with the foam it seems to hold it in place better.
