Hi All

I had a remap done at the start of the week on my 03 545 se

I have done a few hundred miles in her now, and she does feel slighty more nippier - also, the noise has seem to have increased
(she always seemed a bit too quiet to me before).

The remap was done by a Emaps, and I must say that I was very impressed with his knowledge and work approach in the conversations I had with him.

Reported gains are 328bhp up to 355bhp and the torque from 450nm up
to 485nm

(quoted from thier email)

The price was reasonable and I am happy with the results.

Whats next to increase the V8 rumble some more?
- Intake or Exhaust?

Dive, what rev limiter do you have now ?
With exhaust you can have a better sound and more power!

Thanks Alex

I forgot to mention that the speed limiter has also been removed - Will I ever find out?

My tuner told me he removed it, but it was false: I tried down from mountain on a long sunny and empty highway : from 245 kmh it begins to accelerate very slow to 248-249 kmh .

You can try a rear muffler combined with a K&N air filter. Both will complement the tuning nicely.
Are the improvements noticeable midrange or up high ?

Andy,

giving it some boot on the twisties coming back from Wales yesterday, I would say that she has more grunt higher up than before.
The noise was better, enough to make my wife (who drives like miss daisy!) comment and make me 'ease off'.

right, thanks.
BTW, I'm sure your rev limiter will not have been affected. It will still be the same as before.
The 150mph limit "removal" is though an interesting development - your top speed - if you ever try it out somewhere safe (and legal) will be impressive !

congrats on the remap. +1 for the combination of the k&n with exhaust to accompany the software and for the more rumble that you are interested in getting. continue enjoying it.
