I know the PC tune was shakey. The ESS tune is much better than the PC tune.
Dave's car is NOt a stage 2 although he has a lot of the stage 2 parts.

Oh well. Hopefully we can put all this Singh/RPi/ESS nonsense to rest. They already admitted to clearing the adaptive maps prior to dyno testing so what is there even to discuss?

i just got an additional RPI/ESS smg tune during pre-mfest. the launch control is moved up from 1500rpm to 4000rpm, like the european models. the shift points are moved up as well. when the car is in m mode and s500 or s600 is selected the transmission shifts much quicker, especially when shifting at red line. before the RPi/ESS smg tune, the trans would hesitate slightly. now the shifts are much crisper and quicker. the car feels totally different. because the shift points have been tweaked the car seems much quicker above upwards of 80mph. i can't wait to test out the car against the standard RPi/ESS tune....dennis?

Nice! Guess I should talk to Eloy about that too. haha

BTW, it's S5 or S6, not S500 or S600. M5 newbie. LOL!

Tony get both the RPi/ESS race tune and the smg tune. The difference is day and night. When you come down I'll meet you at rpi, you can test drive my car and see how you like it.
Oh and thanks for correcting me regarding s5-s6. I had a half bottle of blue last night while posting the comment
