Hi Guys,

I've just came back from my dealer and he gave me an "accessories" catalogue for 2006 5-series BMW. On Page 48 I saw a "rearview camera" option.

I've tried doing a search but came up with no results.
Has anyone ordered a rearview camera from BMW direct? If you did get one, please specify for which country to car was built. I'm looking for anyone in North America that has ordered the rearview camera option.

TIA,
~Andy

+1 or +2 means "ditto" or "what he/she said", or "I agree...." with the orginal poster, usually the one in quotes above ...

Ran a search under "rear view camera"...

I got an aftermarket camera and monitor for $200. It's infrared so night looks like day. I've also seen 'em where the camera is mounted in the license plate frame, and the monitor is in the rearview mirror-off to one side.

Seen this as well on other cars, defitnely a more cost effective way to go. Think these camera set-ups sell at fry's for pretty cheap....
