I was messing around with the TIS cd and came across the rear entertainment package. Below are listed partnumbers that are suppossed to work in any region NTSC or PAL. When ordering you are supposed to input what region you wish to have. Can someone please confirm these part numbers and tell me if one of them can be installed in my car?

For your car ONLY!!!

The following is what you need: (the part numbers you gave were not 100% correct because you have the alarm AND a moonroof...!!!

1x 82 82 0 304 649 = DVD System NTSC/PAL both. The Country Code is set at the time of ordering by specifying it on the order form. (See my note below about this) Includes the remote control.

1x 82 82 0 303 973 = DVD Installation Kit. The hardware to mount the system into the roof. According to the ETK parts list, this DVD Installation Kit includes the headphones, power cable, instruction manual and special roof bow (metal support i think)

1x 65 75 6 948 183 = Ultrasonic module to replace the one you have in the roof since the DVD System will go over that place..

I can't remember what colour your headlining. But if it is grey or black then you need TWO of the following as well:

2x 51 44 7 075 109 = Cover for the ultrasonic module. GREY
2x 51 44 7 919 702 = Cover for the ultrasonic module. BLACK

NOTE: In the options that have been fitted to your car, BMW have fitted S697A = Area-Code 1 for DVD. Therefore it is probable that the DVD System that you order will only play Region 1 USA discs.

That's the DVD player that goes under the roof, but I think he was asking for the rear entertainment package with the 6dvd changer in the trunk and the two screens behind the front seats.

Yeah - i thought that too, except the part numbers he gave in the opening message was for the DVD Roof System. Those numbers refered to the Region 2 version for a car with NO sunroof....

If you are looking for the package as Iceman describes, then I'm afraid it's not available yet. I know it's shown in a image on the Individual 5 Series pages on bmw.com - but the buggers haven't released it.

I have looked for the special seat back extensions that houses the rear screens as shown in that image - but they are not listed at all. Also, a pre-requirement will be to have Comfort Seats fitted and in leather (I guess here simply because in the image theseat back extensions are covered in leather...)

It's listed in the Individual catalogue and it doesn't say that this option will be available later.
Ah, maybe one of these exclusive Individual things what will be added later to regular E60's...
